We have repeated time and again the importance of walking with a bottle of water, to keep us hydrated. But what happens when that bottle begins to accumulate dirt and germs? Instead of changing it, we recommend an extensive cleaning…
Campingship will show you the best ways to wash your bottle of water!
Wash with warm water and dishwasher: Take a little dishwasher detergent and warm water in the bottle, close it and shake it for a minute or two. Rinse and leave it open to let dry well overnight.
In the dishwasher: There are some bottles that you can get to the dishwasher. Check at the bottom of the bottle or the website of the brand before doing so.
Usa vinegar: This natural cleanser is great for killing certain germs and bacteria, but is not effective killing things like viruses of colds. To use it, after washing the bottle with dishwasher and rinse thoroughly, fill it 1/5 with white vinegar and the rest with water. The mixture set aside overnight, and rinse well the next day.
Uses a mild chlorine solution: If they are concerned about germs, nothing survives to chlorine. Make a solution using a tablespoon of chlorine by water. Fill the bottle, close it, and let it sit for two minutes. Boot the solution and let it dry completely. For your peace of mind, it is perfectly safe to take from a bottle that has been cleaned with a little chlorine.
Use special bottle cleaning tablets: Many companies do this kind of cleaning products. You simply have to fill the water bottle, put the Tablet, leave to dissolve (between 15 and 20 minutes), and then rinse well.
