We continue shelling all the news about the imminent new Android version of unknown name, Android N, who yesterday made his first official appearance in the form of first version for developers.
We have already reviewed some of its most talked-about changes such as multi-window mode, function ICE or dark theme, but now it is the turn of two much-needed functions and which for the first time will be integrated into the core Android: mode of data saving and the blocking phone numbers (to avoid phone spam).
Data saving mode
Like the energy-saving mode, Android N will have a way of saving data. Once activated, this function will send applications to the request that use less fund data whenever it is possible. These applications may take measures as reduce the quality of the streaming or the video to go to save mode.
This mode is perhaps more thought for emergency cases as when you’re about to finish you with your data plan, but nothing prevents you to have it always activated if so you wish. It will also be possible to add a white list of exceptions those applications that you do not want to save data.
Phone spam blocking
Depending on the “taste” of your Android, you’ll already have a native function of selective phone numbers or not, but Android N there will be a new system of native locking. You can finally get rid of those heavy telemarketers, spammers, or just people that you don’t want to talk about.
These blocked numbers may not call you or send you SMS, and the black list will be accessible from different applications, extendable to all your devices and recoverable after reinstall the device. Another interesting aspect is that do not you find out nothing, because these “prohibited” calls do not appear even in the call log.
